William "Bill" Mazur
Chairman
Bill Mazur is a 25-year law enforcement veteran and retired in 2017 at the rank of Deputy Chief of Police. Bill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton University and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Training and Development in the Police Graduate Studies Program from Seton Hall University. Bill is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and currently serves as a Master Instructor with the FBI National Academy Associates, in their Comprehensive Officer Resiliency Training Program. He also acts as a Liaison for the NJ State Resilience Program for law Enforcement. Additionally, Bill currently serves on the Wellness Committee for the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) as an advisor. Bill has worked in the behavioral healthcare field exclusively, as a Public Safety Liaison, to provide specialized treatment guidance for public safety personnel, first responders and their families.

Eric Scheffler, a lifelong Atlantic County resident, has dedicated his career to public safety and community service. After earning degrees from Atlantic County Community College and Stockton University, he served in law enforcement for 28 years, including as a Lieutenant in the Atlantic City Police Department and two-term Atlantic County Sheriff. Scheffler’s leadership inspired the creation of five outreach programs addressing food insecurity, healthcare access, substance abuse, mental health, and veteran support. Scheffler now serves at the Executive Director of the CRDA.
